Mayfair does not run personal credit checks to open an account. However, as part of our "know your customer" identity verification process, we are required to collect the social security or passport numbers of all account owners and admins. Our third-party KYC/KYB provider, Alloy, uses standard databases like LexisNexis to verify identities using the identifying numbers.
